About Euroball
Euroball is a free set of daily puzzle games about European basketball: the EuroLeague first, and the EuroCup too. Every game has a new puzzle each day, the same one for everyone, and unlimited practice if one a day isn't enough.
The games
- Mystery Player: Guess the mystery EuroLeague player in 8 tries.
- Player ID: A EuroLeague player's whole career laid out club by club, with the years.
- Complete the Five: A real EuroLeague Final Four starting five with one starter hidden.
- Connections: Sixteen EuroLeague names hide four groups of four โ a roster, a nationality, a Final Four five, a shared jersey number.
- Career Order: A player's clubs, shuffled.
- The Grid: A 3ร3 grid of clubs, nationalities and positions.
- Common Club: Two European basketball careers that cross at exactly one club.
- Path Between: Six degrees of European basketball.
- Odd One Out: Four names, three with something in common and one without.
- Higher or Lower: Two European basketball players, one question: who is taller, who is older, whose shirt number is higher? Ten matchups a day, or an endless run that ends on your first mistake.
- Roster Master: The long game: name every player on every EuroLeague roster since 2000-01, season by season, club by club, from memory.
- Six of a Kind: One category a day, like Serbian players who played for FC Barcelona.
Seven of them can also be played on EuroCup players, from the EuroCup hub. And every club in both competitions has a page of its own, with its roster and former players: see the clubs.
Where the data comes from
Every player, club, career and lineup in the games was compiled by hand: from official club rosters and the official EuroLeague and EuroCup rosters, Wikipedia, FIBA and Proballers, then cross-checked source against source. Rosters are updated club by club at the start of each season. Transfers in the middle of a season aren't reflected until the next update.
The puzzles are built from that data by scripts that check each one before it ships. A Connections board has exactly one solution, a Path Between pair has a real route through teammates, and a Grid square has at least one right answer.
Found a wrong club, a missing season, a misspelt name? Send a correction. Corrections from players of the game have already fixed real mistakes.
Who makes it
Euroball is made by one basketball fan in Greece, in their spare time, for the love of the European game. There is no company behind it, no account to create and nothing to buy. It works offline once it has loaded, and it can be installed on a phone like an app.
Not affiliated
Euroball is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Euroleague Basketball, the EuroLeague, the EuroCup or any club. Club and competition names are used only to describe the players who played there.
