How to play
Two players, one hidden chain. Get from start to target by naming players who were teammates — each name must have shared a club, in the same seasons, with the player before him.
Par is the shortest chain that exists. You get par + 3 guesses — right or wrong, every guess costs one.
Names suggest themselves as you type — arrows and Enter to pick, or just type it out. It's there so you don't have to spell Spanoulis; it lists every player we hold whose name matches and never says which of them actually links, so the puzzle is still yours to solve. A surname is enough when it's unique, and accents don't matter. A name we can't place isn't a guess and costs you nothing.
Give up reveals a shortest route. On the Daily it asks once before it commits, and records a loss — but it still counts as played, so your hub streak survives.
The career lines under your current player and the target are your map: find where two paths crossed.
Each player can appear in the chain only once — don't route yourself into a dead end.

How to play
The big one: name every player on every 2025-26 roster, club by club, from memory.

No suggestions, no autocomplete — pure recall. Type a name and a match fills its slot instantly. A surname is enough when it's unique on that roster; accents and dots don't matter.

Clear board starts a club over — but your best score (%) survives on the club's card. Clear all boards on the club list does the same for all twenty at once.
Name a full roster once and that club turns gold ★ — for good, even if you clear it. Collect all twenty.

How to play
Two players. Their careers cross at exactly one club — name it.
You get 3 guesses, and the fewer you use the better the win.
They did not have to be teammates. Both wore the shirt; it may have been twenty years apart. (Overlapping years are Path Between's game.)
There is only ever one right answer. A pair is only used if it shares one single club out of every club we hold — so if you can think of two, one of them isn't in our data.
The answer is always a EuroLeague club or a club with real retired greats — never a player's stop in Australia or the NBA, even though we know about those.

The career lines under your current player and the target are the map. Find where two paths crossed in the same years.
Names suggest themselves as you type. The list holds every player in the database whose name matches and never marks which of them actually links — most of what it offers is a dead end.
Each player can appear in the chain only once, so it is possible to route yourself into a corner. A dead end loses the round.
NBA stints count. Some of the best routes go through the League.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly counts as a teammate?
A shared club with overlapping stint years. Two players who both wore the same shirt in different decades are not teammates here — that is Common Club's puzzle.
What is par?
The length of the shortest chain that actually exists between the two players, computed in advance. Your budget is par plus three, so there is room to explore without room to wander.
Does a name I get wrong still cost a guess?
Yes, if we can place the player. A name the database cannot resolve at all is not treated as a guess and costs nothing, so a typo never punishes you.
What happens if I give up?
The game reveals one shortest route between the pair. On the Daily it asks once before committing and records a loss, but the round still counts as played so your hub streak survives.

Height — exact, within 5 cm.
Age — exact, within 2 years.
# — exact jersey number, within 3.

Each puzzle has exactly one group of each colour.
Tips
“One away…” means three of your four picks belong to the same group.
Watch for red herrings — a nationality, an old club or a jersey number can lure you into the wrong group.
